The Risen Jesus Appears to Two Disciples at Emmaus
The blindness of those who were against Me -
The change in the satanic hierarchies after the ascension (14-16)
1. The same day, two disciples went to the village called Emmaus, which was three hours away from Jerusalem. And they talked together of all that had happened.
2. And it came to pass that, while they spoke with one another, Jesus Himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were held, so that they could not know Him.
3. And He said to them, "What are you speaking about with each other that you are going along so sadly?”
4. And one of them, called Cleopas, answered, "Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem and have not yet come to know the things that have happened here in these days?” And He said to them, "What things?”
5. And they spoke to Him about Jesus of Nazareth, who had been a prophet, mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how the high priests and their authorities delivered Him to be condemned to death, and how they then nailed Him to the cross. "But we trusted that He was the One who should have redeemed the land of Israel. And nevertheless, all these things have happened here in these last three days.
6. Yes, and certain women, also of our company, astonished us. They were at the sepulchre early in the morning and did not find the body. And they came and told us that angels had appeared to them, saying that He was risen.
7. And some of our people went to the sepulchre and found everything as the women had said. But they did not see Him.”
8. Then He said to them, "Oh, you are fools and slow of heart and do not believe what the prophets have said! Should not Christ suffer all these things, in order to enter then into His glory?”
9. And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He taught them about all the scriptures which concerned Him.
10. And they drew near the village to which they were going. And He made as though He wanted to go further. But they pressed Him, saying, "Stay with us, for it is towards evening and the day is almost over.” And He went in to tarry with them.
11. And it happened as He sat with them at the table: He took bread and the fruit of the vine, gave thanks, blessed, broke the bread and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him. And He vanished from their sight.
12. And they said to one another, "Did not our hearts burn while He talked to us on the way and explained the scripture to us?” And they immediately rose and returned to Jerusalem, and there they found the eleven gathered with their followers. And they said, "The Lord is truly risen, and He appeared to Simon.”
13. And they told what had happened to them on their way and how they had recognized Him in the breaking of the bread.
14. While they were going to Emmaus, some of the watch came to the city and informed Caiaphas of what had happened.
15. And they gathered with the elders and took council, saying, "Behold, while the soldiers slept, several of His apostles came and carried His body away. And is not Joseph of Arimathaea one of His disciples?
16. For this reason, he had asked Pilate for the body, so
that he could bury Him in his own tomb in his garden. Let us give the soldiers money, so
that they say that His disciples had come in the night and had stolen the body while they
were sleeping. And when this news reaches the ears of the governor, we will persuade him
and protect you.” (Chap. 85:1-16)
I, Christ, explain, correct
and deepen the word:
This lie is like a betrayal. Thus, I was unrecognized and betrayed to the very end. For those who were against Me wanted, for fear of Me, to prevent the people from believing in My resurrection.
After the death on the cross and the disappearance of My earthly body, which they thought was taken away, they believed to have defeated Me, for also their invisible leaders in the satanic hierarchies did not see Me there. Therefore, they believed Me to be still near the earth, possibly even as an earth-bound soul which still sought to hide from them.
They did not yet recognize what had happened and what took place unnoticed by
their senses. Only after My ascension, after My going home to the Father, did the souls in
all spheres of the fall right up to the gates of the pure Being experience that everything
changed suddenly: The satanic hierarchies became rungs on the ladder to heaven; they
became planes of purification. These exist from the level of purification of order to the
level of purification of earnestness. The other three planes -
patience, love and mercy - became planes of development.
They are the pre-heavens which are also a part of the ladder to heaven; on it, the
light-filled soul which has become a spirit body learns to apply the eternal law again in
all details.
